Trains Over Texas has returned to the Houston Museum of Natural Science! The exhibit is included with general admission and will be at the museum for the holidays.
You can “Travel Across Texas” by model railroad. The O-scale model trains visit oil country salt domes, prairies and wetlands of the Texas coast and state and national monuments. They also pass through Galveston, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio!
The best part might just be the secret kid train under the table! Kids can crawl under and watch a train chug around the secret track.
The Christmas trains are free with museum admission or museum membership. This year they moved to the third floor, behind King Tut. It is tucked away and you need to know where to look for it.

nice that you have more pictures and information than the HMNS website on "trains over texas", but I still can't find out WHEN it is open, or how to see it ! The HMNS website is a marvel of marketing murkiness, worthless for navigating to real information. they should do better.

I agree on the website. I just saw this comment... but in case it helps, the trains are open during open hours. It's part of the regular admission.
