Cool Sweet Treats at Juice Box in Chinatown!

Address: 9889 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036

I am pretty sure that if you ate at a new restaurant in Chinatown, every single day, it would still take you a year to try all of them. Just trying all the restaurants in one shopping center would take a month. Maybe more.

So with all these restaurants, where did my kids choose to go? Juice Box!

It turns out the kids were not after lunch… they were after cool sweet treats.

At Juice Box, you order at the counter and take your seat. After looking at the all the pictures and all the fruit combinations, we decided on Snowflake Ice, a Smoothie and Green Tea with Tapioca.

Snowflake Ice at The Juice Box
Hands-down, the Snowflake Ice was the best. It’s light and sweet and delicious. Instead of heavy ice cream, it’s made with frozen fruit, a drizzle of cream (and maybe some shaved ice?!). It’s big, satisfying and does not leave you feeling weighted down.

The smoothie was good too… just not as unusual!

The green tea with tapioca was my pick. I really like tapioca tea. With the green tea, I could pick the sweetness… so I went with just a little sweet. (The black tea already had the sugar mixed in.)

I have to say that the kids made a good choice in Chinatown. If you are near Arthur Storey Park and looking for a cool sweet treat, check out Juice Box!

I know just what it’s like to be overwhelmed by work, life and family. I spent a lot of years traveling for work, missing big milestones for my kids and feeling bad about everything.

I started this website to make a list of all the events happening around Houston and then pick one to enjoy with my kids. And instead of thinking of all the things I was missing, I started to enjoy the things we were doing together.

If you are a parent that is feeling overwhelmed by all the things you could be doing in Houston… please just use our weekly lists and daily posts as suggestions. Pick one thing to do with your family and intentionally ignore the rest!
