Lake House Cafe at Discovery Green

This is the restaurant the Discovery-Green-Moms know well. The parents and caregivers that play at the park, go to Toddler Tuesday, the ICE and the many weekly events know that Lake House Cafe is the easiest option for lunch... and in the best location.

Right in the middle of the park, The Lake House has glass walls and a patio that overlooks the lake (and ICE rink), the splashpad and the lawn.

The restaurant serves burgers, tacos and hot dogs and more. The prices are a little high for easy food... but not outrageous and maybe even better than you might expect in one of Houston's most popular destinations. See the menu HERE.

Since we spend so much time at Discovery Green, we've been to The Lake House about a million times. My son is always determined to get the French fries and I always get the veggie burger.

You order at the counter, take your seat and wait for the buzzer to buzz. The Lake House has their own restrooms, right around the corner of the counter... plus their is an ATM in case you need it for the monthly flea market at Discovery Green.
