Join the Houston Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge!

There are programs for babies, adults and everyone in between.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Registration May 1, 2026 - July 30, 2026
• Log your reading starting June 1, 2026
• Complete all challenges by July 31, 2026

GRAND PRIZES

• Library Littles (ages 0-4): Board Book sets & 14 bikes
• Kids (ages 5-11): Nintendo Switch Lite bundle & 39 bikes
• Teens (ages 12-18): Nintendo Switch Lite bundle & 17 bikes
• Adults (ages 19+): Kindle Scribe or Kindle Fire tablet

To participate...

1. Register: Just follow the prompts.
2. Log your reading! Library Littles (ages 0 - 4) log books. Older kids, teens, and adults log days read. One day equals at least 20 minutes of reading.
3. Reap the Rewards! You will receive a free book after the set hours.

You do not need to be within Houston city limits... and anyone can participate! Plus, reading to your kids counts too!
