by Jill Jarvis Leave a Comment

Address: 2225 1/2 Porter Road, Katy, TX 77493

Lake West, The Hidden Lake is summer camp fun, without the summer camp… AND it reopens for the summer on June 5, 2018!

Last year we were searching for summer camp fun for the little kids and Fun2Go Misters told us we could find that in Katy! Just check out the video and pictures from last year!

The Hidden Lake has swimming, sand beach, zip lines and huge inflatables! There is public swim on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. And on Tuesday, two swim for the price of one!

Check before you go, but at the time of this post…

  • Public Swim : $15 per swimmer on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, June 5 through August 17, 2018
  • $5 for any non-swimmer, children under four are free every day.
  • 3:00 to 8:00 PM
  • Cash,  Checks AND now Credit Cards
  • Tuesdays: Two for the Price of One
  • Price includes swim vest, swimming, and water inflatables.
  • No outside food or drink.
  • Concession stand available.

Here’s what you need to know for your visit…

  • No outside food is allowed. There is a concession stand with hot dogs, chips, candy,  burgers, popsicles and drinks.
  • Every swimmer, regardless of age, much wear a life vest.
  • If there is thunder, you have to get out of the water for 30 mins of the last thunder sound.
  • Non-swimmers get in for $5 and can sit along the side of the lake. Bring your own towels, blankets, chairs… and maybe even a little pop up tent because it’s sunny.
  • There are pavilions, but these must be reserved for a fee.
  • There are portable restrooms by the lake.

Take a look at the pictures below… and we’ll see you there this summer!

jill-jarvis-bigkidsmallcity-circle-300 Welcome!  JillBJarvis.com is the go-to blog for things to do in Houston with kids!  It is upbeat and dedicated to making our big city feel small.   START HERE!

On this website you will find a full list of Houston weekly events, things to do around the city, travel ideas and resources for parents.

I know just what it’s like to be overwhelmed by work, life and family. I spent a lot of years traveling for work, missing big milestones for my kids and feeling bad about everything.

I started this website to make a list of all the events happening around Houston and then pick one to enjoy with my kids. And instead of thinking of all the things I was missing, I started to enjoy the things we were doing together.

If you are a parent that is feeling overwhelmed by all the things you could be doing in Houston… please just use our weekly lists and daily posts as suggestions. Pick one thing to do with your family and intentionally ignore the rest!
