This review is of A Wrinkle in Time: The Graphic Novel, by Madeleine L’Engle.
Who here did not read A Wrinkle in Time Over and Over again as a kid? I know I did.
Meg Murry was my hero. She had glasses and braces just like me. She just had more sense to also play the trombone, be on the golf team, and cut her own bangs, unlike me.
I’ve tried reading a Wrinkle in Time to my 7 and 5 year old, but they are just not ready for it. Fortunately for me (and them), I was lucky enough to stumble across a fabulous adaptation by the brilliant Madeleine L’Engle and illustrated by the talented Hope Larson.
Published in 2012, this version was perfect for winning over my 2 young, nerdy children. I can’t wait until they are old enough to read the novel, but this is perfect to tide them over for now.
I have so far bought 4 copies of this book to hand out as gifts AND my older daughter has read it every day for a week.
You can buy your very own copy HERE on Amazon.
