The Weekly Events Post Requires Input from Nearly 50 Sources! You Asked BigKidSmallCity!
Each day of the week I post part of a series, plus I add reviews of Houston events and things to do throughout the week. For the rough schedule, go HERE.
The post that takes the most time is the Things to do this Week and Weekend post. To be sure the events are up to date, I create the list just before the post goes live.
First I take all the events that I have been tracking and all the events that readers have emailed to me. Then I go through the media alerts I have received. And finally, I check the calendars on nearly 40 local websites.
I make a list of all the events and I also add them to my calendar. In total, I gather data from around 50 sources.
This post takes quite a bit of time, but it’s also my favorite post of the week. I like knowing what’s going on!
