Odd Numbered Address – Today is your Water Day
According to the Houston Chronicle, no water usage drops have been seen yet. “Each day since the restrictions went into effect on Aug. 15, the city has pumped more than the month’s daily average. And August’s highest pumping — 660 million gallons a day — occurred three days after the restrictions went from voluntary to mandatory.”
So far no one has been fined. The city is first focused on fixing their water leaks and talking to businesses and industry about reducing consumption.
